Supported Living in West Midlands

At Tendernest, we understand that finding the right care and support can feel overwhelming, especially when independence matters to you. That’s why our supported living services are shaped around what’s important to you.
We provide high-quality, tailored support for adults aged 18–65 with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, brain injury, and/or behaviours that may challenge. Whether you need short-term help or long-term support, our service is here to help you thrive.
You’ll have your own fully furnished bedroom in carefully matched accommodation, sharing only with others who have similar needs. Our 24-hour on-site support staff are trained to respond to emergencies, recognise early signs of deterioration, and escalate appropriately. We offer flexible support from a few hours to 24 hours, including overnight support if required and based on individual assessment.
Working together, we’ll create a person-centred support plan based on your goals, strengths, and interests, giving you control over the kind of help you receive. From managing a tenancy and attending appointments to developing domestic skills, managing finances, or accessing work and leisure activities, our team is by your side.
Services We Offer
Independent living Skills
We support individuals to build essential life skills that promote day-to-day independence and self-confidence. This includes developing routines around cooking, food preparation, shopping, laundry, cleaning, and maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle. We also offer practical guidance on managing finances and budgeting, as well as supporting individuals to set up and sustain a home or tenancy. Our goal is to equip each person with the tools they need to live as independently as possible in their own home.
Health and Wellbeing Support
Access to Services and Advocacy
Maintaining good health is a key part of independent living. Our team offers ongoing supervision and support with health and wellbeing, including monitoring for changes, promoting personal safety, helping individuals understand and manage potential risks and supporting individuals to attend health appointments within the community. We work closely with healthcare professionals and can refer or signpost individuals to culturally appropriate health and treatment services when needed. Each individual's physical and mental health needs are handled with care, confidentiality, and respect.
At Tendernest, we believe in making support systems easier to navigate. Whether it's accessing healthcare, benefits, or specialist services, our team provides guidance and advocacy to ensure individuals receive the help and support they’re entitled to. We act as a bridge between clients and services, offering clear information, signposting, and liaison with professionals. Every support plan is tailored, using relevant and person-specific approaches that reflect each individual’s needs, background, and preferences.
Community Integration
Feeling connected to a community can be a powerful step toward independence. We actively support individuals in accessing community-based services, events, and groups that reflect their interests and backgrounds. From volunteering and leisure activities to religious and cultural networks, we help foster a sense of belonging. Through inclusive, person-led engagement, individuals can build meaningful connections and contribute to the communities they live in. This can include local coffee mornings, local day centres, attending a church service or even attending your local gym/leisure centre.
Social and Emotional Development
We help individuals strengthen social skills, manage behaviours, and build positive relationships in a way that feels safe and respectful. Through structured support and peer interactions, individuals can improve communication, grow in confidence, and experience genuine friendships. Our befriending and peer support initiatives offer a sense of companionship and emotional connection, helping individuals feel understood and supported on their journey. We will support you in maintaining healthy relationships whether that's with family members or close friends and also learning how to recognise unhealthy relationships and boundaries.
Personal Development
Every person has the potential to grow and thrive with the right support. At Tendernest, we work with individuals to identify personal goals, build emotional resilience, and develop the skills needed to navigate life’s challenges. Our approach encourages independence while offering guidance in decision-making, problem-solving, and long-term planning. Through consistent encouragement and a strengths based focus, we empower individuals to shape a fulfilling life on their own terms.

Emergency Placements
We welcome emergency placement referrals around the clock, we understand how urgent and complex these situations can be and wish to alleviate the pressure and the need to use unsuitable temporary accommodation. Our emergency placements include rapid assessment and same day move in (including weekends), emergency supply packs - a pre-prepared kit of essential items for unplanned admissions with limited belongings; to ensure a safe, dignified and comfortable transition, focus on stabilisation and emotional support.
If you’re supporting someone in crisis, pending discharge, or whose current placement has broken down, we will review suitability and collaborate with you to arrange a prompt placement where appropriate.
